If you’re a zealot for the truth, and part of that zeal has led you to God’s revelation about the TRUTH of ISRAEL and ISLAM…then this scene depicts the most critical DECISION POINT you may ever come upon in your personal walk with GOD. I’ll show you how and why in just a moment.
Imagine coming upon this scene:
You clear your way through the final outlying branches and thickets of a dank and congested backwoods region. As you thankfully ease your face, hands, and the rest of your body cautiously through their maze-like constriction and seemingly beyond the anticipated backlash from a limb under tension, you come into a small clearing. Your eyes, refocusing in the new light, are curiously drawn up ahead off to the left, and you notice a young deer lying prone, outstretched on the ground not far in front of you, motionless – exhausted.
GOT IT? If not…read it one more time. Now, let’s return to the open glade in our imagined scene.
It’s still day, but the sun’s light hints of the dusk that will soon be approaching. You take a few steps closer. You can see that the deer has lodged its foot in a small but deep cranny burrowed into the earth. The predilection of the crevice seems to create an individualized pit whose welcoming angle beckoned the hoof of the deer, as if anticipating its stride and direction. Although the deer’s eyes appear calm and somewhat peaceful, you can sense a myriad of defenses.
Clearly the deer’s outstretched body, damp with sweat, belies the extreme tension and struggle it must have endured in attempting to regain its footing in an effort to continue on its intended path. Where was this deer heading? Was it toward family, an instinctive passion that drives so many blindly forward? Was it for survival, a need to adapt and act upon the information gathered by the senses? It seems clear that it would not have been merely an aimless wandering. Such a stride would have likely evaded the hole, and the deer would have simply, quietly and peacefully passed by through to the other side of the glade. No, this was a determined stride… perhaps down a well-worn path…which now brings this deer to this place of vulnerability.
In part, it may be that very exposure which explains why the defenses sharpen, the eyes widen, and the ears twitch with each motion you make towards the deer. But even with your awareness of the personal harm that could befall you from the thrashing of the hoofs, you approach, still further considering – contemplating. Can I embrace the deer and lift it up in such a manner as to relieve the tension that holds it fast?
On the surface it is the deer’s own misdirected writhing and clawing that has tightened the grip that now prevents the deer from returning to its intended path. Why would you intervene at all? Isn’t there a chance that this deer would simply return, to once again suffer the same plight in the future, at a time when you would not be around to witness?
But you think back to your journey through the forest: the passions and instincts that drove you forward on your path. You remember the instinct that guided your stride, the senses that informed your direction. It is this path which led you to this very same clearing…and this very same deer, at this moment only slightly before dusk.
I told you this could be the most CRITICAL DECISION you would face in your personal walk with God, if …you have been given a glimpse of the truth about Israel and Islam. In the scene above….the deer represents a brother Muslim, and the hole is the personal pit which represents an eternal abyss…better known as ISLAM.
Do you risk harm and bend down to raise this frightened and weary deer up into your arms, in an attempt to set it free? Do you walk away, satisfied that nature is simply running its course, and you are merely an observer? Do you assist the deer and judge that nature would be better served by relieving the deer of the misery, and so, end its life? Tough Choices.
But are these your only choices?
At Patriots for Israel we’ve been directed to follow a different path. In this imagined scene, WE reach for a strong branch…a staff…if you will, and approach the deer. We press it firmly and confidently into the ground surrounding the trapped limb. With faith and persistence we probe, loosen, turnover, and dig deep into the earth to define the true dimensions of the pit. As we aerate the soil and expose the cold dark earth into the sunlight, the structure of the pit no longer serves to prevent the deer from continuing its journey. We leave the fate of the deer in the hands of God, and focus our efforts on defining, exposing, and loosening the grip of the pit for the sake of all God’s creatures.
Our work is not done…will you join us? Patriots for Israel
